A: APM Studio is an extention of Legacy Media Group; a family run studio in business for over 14 years. A professional media transfer company that has evolved to offer unique and custom services to our clients.
Our media transfer services include VHS to DVD, film reels to DVD, photo and slides to JPEG, audio cassettes to CD and MP3, and digital device transfer to DVD. Each media transfer has custom options available to meet our clients specifications.
APM Studio offers professional video production services, featuring studio and on-site shooting options, custom slideshows, montages, photo restoration, video biographies, documentaries, professional editing services, DVD/CD duplication, and business services.
Unique gift ideas are available such as photobooks, LCD digital photo frames, storybooks, tribute videos, and our Personalized Premium DVD Package. All of our gift ideas are customized by our clients, making each one personal.
Q: How do I place an order?
A: Placing an order with APM Studio is easy - just follow these simple steps:
1. Select the product you want and submit your order online by clicking either "Order Now" or "Add to Cart". Follow the steps to complete your online order. You will receive the order confirmation via email. If you would like to pay by check or money order, or if you prefer not to submit your credit card information online, please use our Printable Order Form.
2. Take your videotapes to any Post office, FedEx or UPS Store. They will have all the shipping materials you need right there, and will even pack the videotapes for you. We suggest choosing a carrier that offers delivery confirmation to ensure the safest, most direct delivery possible.

Normal processing orders are completed in 4 weeks. VIP Rush Services are available if you need to guarantee your order delivery date. As soon as your order is processed, we will mail you the new DVDs and your original videotapes via USPS Priority shipping, and you will receive an email notification with a USPS tracking number.
Q: I'd like to pay by check for my order. Do you accept check payments?
A: Yes, you can pay for your order by check or money order. Please use our Printable Order Form to place your order and enclose it when sending your videotapes to us. Please make your check or money order payable to APM Studio.
Q: What is the best way to send my videotapes to APM Studio?
A: When sending us your media, we recommend that you select carriers with tracking capabilities, such as FedEx or UPS. These carriers offer Pickup service as well. If you are going to use the United States Postal Service, please order Delivery Confirmation. Fortunately, those carriers are extremely reliable and we have never had a lost-in-the-mail order issue before.
Q: How soon will I get my videotapes and DVD's returned to me?
A: Normal processing orders are completed in 4 weeks.*
VIP Rush Services:
5 business day order processing is available for an additional fee of $10.00 for each submitted videotape; next day rush service is also available for an additional $25.00 for each submitted videotape.**
Please note that we use USPS Priority shipping to return your order for a flat fee of $9.95. However, we can use USPS Express service for an additional charge.

Q: I live in the area nearby. Can I drop off and pick-up my videotapes?
A: Yes, you can surely drop off and pick up your videotapes and media at our studio anytime during business hours, Monday through Friday, 9am to 6:00pm and Saturday, 10am to 2pm.

Q: There are some other companies offering video to DVD transfer. How do I know you are right for me?
A: APM Studio is a family run establishment in business for 14 years. Preserving your memories is our passion so we take great care with your original tapes through transfer to DVD and return them safely to you.
Our skilled technicians will professionally transfer your videotapes and other media at our studio location. We do not ship your order somewhere else to be done. Your transfer is quality controlled by a technician through the transfer process using the highest quality equipment available.
Upon completion of your order, a Quality Assurance Check is issued to ensure your order was completed professionally and to your specifications.
Finally, we will securely ship your original videotapes and other media along with your new DVDs back to you. Your order will arrive back to you within 3 business days from shipment and will have tracking capabilities so you may monitor the safe arrival of your order.

Q. What types of products do you accept for the conversions?
A: We accept: VHS, VHS-C, 8mm, Hi8, Digital8, MicroMV, MiniDV, DV Cam, Betacam/Betacam SP, Betamax/Super Beta videotapes, both in PAL and in NTSC. S-VHS, and U-matic videotapes are currently accepted only in the NTSC standard. Additionally, we accept 8mm, Super8 film and 16mm reels, different video files (QuickTime, MPEG, AVI, Windows Media), DVDs of all types, laserdiscs, VideoCDs, audiocassettes and reels, as well as digital picture, photo slides, and negatives.
Q: What if I have a blank or non transferrable tape in my order?
A: Unfortunately this happens sometimes - in order to determine if your tape is truly blank or non transferrable, a technician will spend some time with the tape, rewinding/fast forwarding/checking data, to ensure it is positively blank or non transferrable. There is a $5 service fee per tape provided that falls into this category.
Q: I have reels of film - can you transfer them to DVD?
A: Yes, we can convert your 8mm, Super8 and 16mm reel-to-reel films into pristine quality DVD. Please use our Printable Order Form to place your order or place your order online.
Q: Do you convert Beta tapes to DVD?
A: Yes, we can convert Betamax (type I,II,III), SuperBeta, Betacam and BetacamSP videotapes into DVDs or digital files for an additional fee of $25.00 per tape up to 2 hours.
Q: Do you convert U-matic tapes to DVD?
A: Yes, we are able to convert U-matic videotapes into DVDs or digital files for an additional fee of $25.00 per tape up to 2 hours.
Q: I'd like to edit the DVD video on my PC or MAC. Is this possible?
A: Yes, we offer the option to get an editable file for your MAC or PC in almost any format your want. Digital file delivery is available for all media.
Q: Do you convert audio cassettes to CD?
A: Yes. We can convert your audiocassettes into perfect Audio CDs that are playable on any CD player for only $14.95 per cassette. Please use our Printable Order Form to place your order or place your order online.
Q. Do you handle photo slides?
A: Yes. We are able to transfer 35mm slides into high quality digital JPEGs. The price of the transfer is only $0.45 per slide for a Basic Scan with upgradable options available. Our skilled technicians can also enhance the photo quality of your slides.
We can also create a slideshow of your memories for an additional $.50 per image; includes royalty free music with beautiful transistions, and an opening and closing title.
Q: What is the difference between the Basic and Premium DVD?
A: The Basic DVD Transfer is a straight transfer of your video to pristine quality DVD. The Basic DVD package comes in a simple jewel case with a printed label, include your own custom title.
A Basic DVD will play in most DVD players and on your computer for easy sharing. The Basic DVD is made without navigational menus, but with chapter marks placed at 6 minute intervals.
Premium DVDs contain 12 chapters of equal duration and a very convenient on-screen menu for easy scene selection. With Premium DVDs, we even print the chapter thumbnails on the DVD case cover so that you can preview the content of your movie prior to inserting the disc into the DVD player.

Your videos are digitally enhanced with our Premium Transfer; increasing audio quality and color calibration.
Q: I have many videotapes; however I don't know the length of video on each tape. I want everything put onto DVDs. What should I do?
A: We can determine the total amount of DVDs required to transfer the full content of your videotapes. Please use our Printable Order Form to place your order, and in the Special Instructions field authorize us to create as many DVDs as necessary. We will inform you immediately upon receipt of your videotapes and contact you if any questions arise.
Q: There is more than 2 hours of video on my tape. Will you transfer only the first 2 hours to DVD?
A: To ensure the best quality it is recommended that only up to 2 hours of video be recorded per DVD. With tapes that are over 2 hours in length, we will create an additional DVD to capture the remaining video; this will carry additional charge if a Part 2 DVD is produced.

Q: Each of my videotapes contain less than one hour of video. Can you combine 2 or more videotapes into one DVD?
A: We can combine 2 short videotapes (max 2 hours of total video) into one Premium DVD for $29.95 per every two tapes.

Q: Can you transfer only a part of my tape to DVD?
A: We can transfer or edit out any part of your tape if you clearly indicate in seconds the beginning and end of the part you want to be transferred or removed. If you need to sit with a technician and edit your video, please call 800.916.6076 to set up an appointment. Any custom editing that is required is rated at $25.00 per every 15 minutes.
Q: My videotape is broken. Can you fix it?
A: Yes. If your videotape tape arrives broken, we will perform a basic repair for just $15.00.
Q: Can you convert a PAL DVD into a NTSC DVD?
A: Yes, we can convert any PAL videotape or DVD into a NTSC DVD, as well as any NTSC videotape into a PAL DVD. PAL/NTSC conversion carrys an additional $25.00 fee per conversion. Please call 800.916.6076 or send an email if you have further questions regarding PAL/NTSC DVD conversion.
Q: Will somebody watch my videos while converting them to DVD?
A: No. Our customers' privacy is our number one priority. We never watch or keep copies of our customers' videos. The conversion process is monitored, not viewed, by our technician to ensure the transfer is being completed correctly. Your new DVDs will also undergo a Quality Assurance Check to verify professional results.
APM Studio will not copy, distribute, or share any of your personal videos that we may transfer.
Q: Can you transfer to DVD copyright protected movies I own?
Q: How can I order additional copies of my new DVDs?
A: Additional DVD copies are just $10.00 each. The DVD copies are an exact match of the Basic, Premium, or Custom Pro DVD you've just received (including title, DVD case and cover).
To order additional copies please send your original DVDs to us and enclose a note indicating the number of copies you would like to receive. Please include your billing and shipping information as well.
